Burke & Wills Waratah Swag
The Waratah swag is another Australian made swag by Burke & Wills. The Waratah swag is Burke and Wills standard dome canvas swag, it is an easy pitch, no fuss camping swag. It has been designed for all of Australia’s changing weather conditions, it will keep you dry and warm when those small showers pass through or when it decides to pelt down. It can also keep those highly annoying mossies at bay when the nights’ are warm and the canvas is peeled back to allow for the breeze to cool you while you sleep. The Waratah may be simple in its features but it will take all you can throw at it.The hoop pole gives you the extra space keeping the canvas and fly net off your head & body. A sturdy foot pole keeps the weight from your feet. The top entry of the Burke & Wills Waratah swag gives easy access for arranging blankets, or your sleeping bag in position and this is also makes it simple to jump into bed at night. The storm flap on the top entry easily stays in place with velcro tabs.
Burke & Wills Waratah swag has zip up sand fly mesh, to the top entry and large rear window. When summer time hits and the nights heat up and mossies are eating you alive, this feature is going to be a very welcome inclusion allowing ventilation to keep you cool and keeping those pesky mossies out.

Poles: The Burke & Wills Waratah Swag comes with Aircraft grade aluminium poles for the two hoops at each end of the swag, they are designed to the last the life of the swag in all of Australia’s tough conditions.
Fly Screen: The Burke & Wills Waratah Swag is fitted with a sand fly proof mesh, to the top entry and rear window. This mesh allows for flow through ventilation on those warm stuffy nights.
Mattress: The Burke & Wills Waratah swag comes with an egg crate style 75mm high density convoluted mattress, with a removable cover. The convoluted style helps with air flow through the mattress, reducing any moisture and keeping you cooler through the warmer weather. This style mattress also helps to distribute your body weight evenly over the mattress reducing soreness. This makes for a good night’s sleep and a good day ahead.
Floor: The floor of the Burke & Wills Waratah swag has two options; a canvas base or a waterproof PVC base.
Zips: The Burke & wills Waratah swag is fitted with no.10 coil heavy duty zips to make sure they stand the test of time.
